Kforce's client, a successful professional services company, is seeking a Tax Senior. This role involves preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and non-profit tax returns, performing tax research, and providing technical recommendations. The Tax Senior will also train and mentor staff accountants, assist in client tax planning and business advisory, and communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent service. Must Have
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership and non-profit tax returns

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience with a certified public accounting firm
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Good to Have
- Certified Public Accountant or actively studying for CPA certification

- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership and non-profit tax returns of varying complexities
- Prepare and review underlying tax workpapers
- Perform tax research on client tax matters and provide technical recommendations
- Train and mentor staff accountants
- Assist in client tax planning and business advisory
- Communicate appropriately with clients, providing excellent service and quick turnaround
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience working for a certified public accounting firm
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Professional, driven, and self-motivated
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Ability to collaborate with others on tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
- Preferred: Certified Public Accountant or actively studying and preparing for CPA certification
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
